Three Things Happening At Flo Valley This Weekend

  1. Step Up To The Mic: Poets of all types are invited to participate in the annual open mic event on November 7th, run by the campus Poetry Club. It will be held in the Multipurpose Room in the Student Center. Participants are asked to bring in poetry or a short piece of writing (fictional or personal). Musical accompaniments are also encouraged. The event will also provide refreshments for all attendants. More information about the open mic event can be obtained by calling the Poetry Club's sponsor, Regina Popper, at her office number: (314) 513 - 4763.
  2. Art On Campus: The campus art gallery's latest exhibition is by artist Ludmila Ketslakh and is called Uncertainty of Being. It will be open to all students every weekday from now to January 10, 2013. A gallery talk and reception of her work will be on the 7th of November at 1:30. For gallery times and other details, they can be found here.
  3. Go For The Goal: The STLCC women's soccer team will be at Heartland Community College on the 3rd of November (this Saturday!). They will be playing in the district championship game and hoping for yet another win. The college will be livestreaming the game on their website as well as on collegecasts.com.
