Three Things Happening At FVCC This Week

  1. This weekend, the Flo Valley theatre department, along with the Friendly Colors (our campus' LGBT club), will be performing the play "8" by Dustin Lance Black. It is based on court transcripts from the Prop 8 case in California which debated the issue of same-sex marriage. Q&A sessions bookend the event. Admission is free and open to the public.
  2. Genshiken (Japanese Pop Culture) is our campus' anime and manga club for students interested in the otaku culture. They meet every Thursday at 2 pm in Social Science 101. For more information, visit Genshiken's advisor, Paul Nygard in the SS building.
  3. The Contemporary Art Gallery is currently hosting an exhibition of pieces by artist Beverly Buchanan. Running until the 11th of October, this exhibition - titled "Home - space, place, memory" - features various kinds of crafts and art.Gallery hours are Monday-Friday 10-4pm and Saturday 10-3pm.
What else is happening on campus? Let me know in the comments!
